As I mentioned previously, we don't provide web design as a standalone service. If you only need web design, and nothing else, we probably aren't your best option. But every web application we create involves web design, to some extent. Our approach is to match the user interface with the quality of the internal code. In essence, both should be professional. Your web application shouldn't look like a programmer designed it.
Once we understand your web application requirements our user interface designer will mockup the exact look and feel. This includes font, color and layout selection, and it is highly dependent on the features and functions within your application. Web design is really a separate discipline within web application development.
We use a variety of tools to design the interface for our applications. We use Serena Prototype Composer, Photoshop, ImageReady, Flash, Dreamweaver, and a slew of other tools to achieve the best web design possible.
You cannot really consider web design without looking at Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). CSS is a style sheet language used to describe the look and format of a web page, or even an entire site. Another important aspect of web design involves conforming to web standards. Our applications all conform to W3C standards.
Web design involves more than just pretty graphics. You must understand the exact purpose of each portion of the site, and then create a harmonious design that accomplishes those goals.
