Let's cut to the chase. Why hire us? After all, aren't there like 5 billion software companies out there? Honestly, I think there are limited situations when you should hire us. I know, you can't believe I said that. But it's true. If you need a standard brochure-type website for your company, you are at the wrong website! You would be throwing money away hiring us for something like that. If you need a gambling website, or anything adult-related, keep moving! We don't do projects like that, either. I know what you are probably thinking. "So Rob...what exactly do you guys do?" I'm getting to that!
Basically, we specialize in the hard stuff. I'm not talking about alcohol, either. The projects we undertake are almost always database centric, and these projects have lots of business rules and logic. These applications do something, and what they do is usually fairly complex. We also do a lot of projects for large corporations (think Fortune 2000), as well as end-to-end solutions for startup companies. We build web, desktop, mobile and embedded systems.
So why would anyone in their right mind specialize in difficult projects? After all, wouldn't it be easier and more profitable to focus on garden variety websites? First, large, complex projects are a natural fit for us given our background. Hey, I love punishment! These type projects are also hard to define, so communication is very critical. We have a natural advantage over offshore companies when it comes to communication-intensive projects. Try explaining complex software requirements to someone from India or Russia. Good luck with that. In fairness, we don't build custom software for Indian or Russian companies, either. We know nothing about their culture, or their business environment.
So in conclusion, if you have a simple software project, I recommend you look overseas to get it built. You will save money, and probably have a satisfactory product. We just aren't the right company. But if you have a large, complex project and don't feel like becoming fluent in Hindi or Russian, give us a call. We can help.
